In 2024, we launched a campaign to help tackle voter apathy in the United States. By using a more type-based approach with strong messaging highlighting the urgency of civic engagement, and clearly outlining the important issues up for debate, we encouraged our audience to know their ballots, get to the polls and VOTE.

Our Activism & Advocacy team chose these five issues based on our campaigning history and the impact this election will have on them. They became a key part of the visual language of this campaign.
In key Lush shops, we created signage and lightbox graphics to spread the word. We also hosted 57 shop events with the League of Women Voters to educate people and make voting less daunting.
Lightbox graphics
Our voters guide featuring the 5 activists and the relevant issues, voting to do list and QR codes to resources.
We took the show on the road and popped up in key cities (Memphis, Durham, Richmond, Washington and Philadelphia) to encourage eligible voters to make a plan!
Our Phone to action page (P2A) was created to help voters access information and make a plan to vote.
We worked with 5 activists to short videos, one for each of the issues we highlighted in the election. Each activists spoke to what is at stake vs what we stand to gain in this election. These videos also calling on people to research their candidate’s positions, consider what is important to them in comparison to the candidate’s position on the issue.
In Philadelphia, We popped up at Rittenhouse Square with our giant inflatable and collaborated with the ACLU-PA to hand out voting information specific to Pennsylvania.
The inflatable featured the five activists and issues. We also gave out voting guides, stickers and a little lush goodies.
